CELL C CELLPHONE CONTRACT *****

On the 27th of June 2016 Cell C debited an amount of R2196-06. I enquired from Cell C and they told me that a contract was opened under my name. They then said I must submit an affidavit and my ID so that the ***** department can investigate and get back to me after 7 working days. I submitted those things on the 15th of July and heard nothing from Cell C. On the 27th of July again an amount of R1 199.90 was debited again from my account after which I called Cell C and they told me that the investigation was concluded and that there is no ***** there. I was then told that the ***** department will look into it and try to contact the person who finalised the contract and that they will contact me back, up until today I have received no communication.I went to the police station to open a case of ***** they said I cannot open a case without proof and must to get proof from Cell C (meaning the ID, Contract, proof of address and three moths bank statements that was utilised to open this contract). I did contact CELL C again but they have been sending me from pillar to post and their ***** line just rings unanswered. I since had to close my account because of all these ridiculous unauthorised debit orders

After all this failed i contacted the Office of the National Consumer Protection in Kimberley, of which they also failed to assist me because they could not get a hold of the ***** department at Cell C, the phone just rang unanswered. I then received a call from the recoveries agent from Cell C Momina Gatzke who was calling to enquire why i was not paying my account, i then relayed the story to her and she promised to assist. She then told me that the contract was opened online and a copy of my ID was supp**** when the courier company deliverd the phone and that the phone was delivered somewhere in Gauteng, mind you i am working and staying in Kimberley. She then asked me to resend the affidivit a copy of my ID and submit three signatures. I have been working and staying in Kimberley for the past 2 years. After this i asked for the copy of the contract, the proof of residence that was used. Upon checking these things, my phone number was incorrect on the documents, the signatures did not belong to me and the proof of address that was used was not mine (they had doctored a multichoice statement, which did not even have my correct smartcard number or the correct payment of my DSTV account).

This is the reference that I received from Cell C ********** 302. This is giving me sleepless nights as i do not know what to do anymore and the bill keeps pilling up.
