Cell C ***** Case – SLA Breach and No Resolution

I reported a ***** case to Cell C on 27 July 2026 and submitted all required documentation (affidavit, ID copy, bank statement). Despite repeated follow-ups and escalation through their customer service channels, Cell C has failed to comply with their own Service Level Agreement. I have tried to cancel the *****ulent contract and *****ulent debit orders to no avail.

Cell C has not provided resolution or meaningful communication within the agreed timeframe. This delay has caused unnecessary stress and risk, and demonstrates disregard for consumer protection standards.

I have now escalated this matter to ICASA and will pursue further regulatory channels if Cell C continues to ignore its obligations. I expect Cell C to urgently resolve this case and provide a clear timeline for closure.

Dear Cell C team

I would like to thank Johnny H for his excellent follow-up and feedback. He has successfully brought this matter to a close. I would like to also add that I appreciated the fact that he ensured that I received his messages, even when I was not able to answer the telephone immediately.

I am very happy at the outcome. My only wish is that this was the level of service offered at the start of the process and not at the tail-end.

Kind regards
Nigel

I cannot believe this matter is still unresolved. After my note dated 26 August 2026, I was told the issue was closed. Yet on 1 September I received correspondence from Cell C requesting payment on the account supposedly cancelled. On 7 September I contacted Johnny H again, and he committed to resolving it. On 8 September he emailed me confirming the account was “definitely closed.” I asked for a formal closure letter, but he rep**** that his email would serve as proof and that no further payment demands would follow.Lo and behold, on 14 September another SMS arrived from Cell C demanding immediate payment. What will it take to stop these messages and close this *****ulent account once and for all? This constant waste of time and effort is unacceptable. My rating of 1 star stands until Cell C provides a formal closure letter and ensures no further demands are issued.

I am deeply disappointed and frustrated in the manner this matter was handled. I wish to commend Johnny H for responding quickly. That said, it appears as if certain departments are not aware of what has taken place with other departments - hence the matter taking this long to resolve.
