Cell C cannot tell me what a phone call is going to cost !

Cell C must be amongst the most useless service providers on the planet. I have a very low monthly cost contract which only gives me 30 minutes per month, but frankly that's about enough most months as I do not make calls very often, mostly use it for WhatsApp call, and receive calls from other people.

However, I recently had to make a call to an 0862 number - telkom conference call - and in advance of this, tried to find out what Cell C would charge for this call. Well it seems impossible to find this information on their website so I registered a query. Eventually, and after I'd actually used the phone to make the call, they came back with "Premium rated calls or special numbers do not have a fixed price rate, they differ from one service provider to another simply because there are third party charges i.e. if you were calling your bank, there would be charges from your bank, interconnect fees, Telkom fees which make up the billing for that specific number. " This must be the most nonsensical explication I've ever heard ! I really do wonder if this company actually knows what it's doing.
