Cell C bypass FICA regulations

I have notified Cell C since 02 March 2021 of a cellphone contract that was falsely opened in my name with an alleged ****** ID copy. I spoke to a nice lady at customer services once who immediately blocked the sim card and pending further investigation. She advised that I sent an email to Cell C ***** unit which I did but I have not had any updates on the outcome of the investigation since. I've sent 4 emails to Cell C ***** Queries @ ***. I would like to have the account closed and clear my credit records but only receive automated responses that advises "All ***** related queries will be attended to within 48 working hours". Uhmmm, okay. I tried calling the ***** Call Centre on *** but was holding on for 20 minutes with no-one answering. This is scary to think that someone can simply open a long term cellphone contract without any original documentation. How does Cell C so easily bypass FICA regulations and allow new contracts without verifying the identity of all applicants?
