Cell C busy flushing themselves down the toilet!

A week ago my fibre modem was struck by lightning and it no longer works. Cell C are my service provider. I phoned them, but because the original contract was taken out by my son-in-law when he stayed at my house, they refuse to replace the modem (for which I will happily pay) because they need him to verify the account. Unfortunately he is in the UK and unavailable, so this is not going to happen. So now I sit with no fibre access to my home. My business and my wife's are grinding to a halt. Surely they can make an exception due to the circumstances, but no. When I ask to speak to the supervisor they refuse. I will be cancelling this contract and opening up a new one with another service provider shortly. No wonder Cell C is in financial trouble, they don't want anyone's money. They have employed the clowns from Boswell Wilke circus to work for them. These people are useless. In the mean time, my son-in-law has sent an email for them to add me as a co-owner, however paint dries quicker than these people work. The account has now been handed over to the Cell C ***** department. This will apparently take the best part of today. Yet another day lost.

Thank you CellC for your standard BS answer to customers.
I have spoken to a support person who tells me that 48 hours actually equates to 6 days, not two. I now have to wait 6 days for the ***** department, 6 days for the admin department and 6 days for the repair person. In total 18 days without Internet, I will probably lose my job since I work from home! Thanks CellC!!!! This service is right out of the ark. The good news is that Vumatel have 25 other ISPs, so I don't need you. Once this is fixed, I'm gone.

Still the same problem. Now Vumatel has replaced the modem, but now in the mean time Cell C appear to have disabled the connection. According to the operator, even though my son-in-law has given me authority on the account to check the setting etc, they still refuse to tell me if the line is disabled or not. What a bunch of retards. Hopeless, hopeless service!!!!! I would love to be the CEO of CellC for just 1 hour, man heads would roll.

Okay CellC, I have now arranged for my son-in-law to cancel the contract. Now you get no money. When you are all standing on the street corner with cardboard placards begging for food and money, remember how poorly you treated your clients.

Sadly we are at day 15 without any fibre connectivity. It's just a plain poor show from CellC who are now placing the blame on Vumatel. Needless to say I have arranged to move to another ISP. Hopefully they are not as bad as CellC. If my company was in financial trouble I would do everything in my power to delight my customers. In contradiction CellC are doing everything in their power to displease their customers. Perhaps they want out?

Latest development. I was assisting one of my customers and during that time Cell C phone regarding ticket CF177811. They called twice with a minute of each other and I missed both. The next thing they have closed the ticket as "We have attempted to call you on and the number rings with no answer." Really? From having spoken to the last call centre agent, it appears that there is a total mess up with the ISP PPP Usernames and Passwords. There is an alert on this account from 14 December 2020 and my first ticket with CellC was logged on 29 December 2020. Go figure, something weird is going on there! Cell C won't get paid this month if they don't get their act together quickly! Disgraceful service.

We are now 4 months on and CellC has still not correctly cancelled the line. This means that the new ISP cannot use the line. The only thing I get back from CellC is rude and abrupt emails ie "The line is already cancelled". Thereafter, going back to Vumatel, the line is not cancelled.
