Cell C breaches contract and does not refund cancellation fee

*******. Cell C breached their contract with me by cancelling their roaming agreement with MTN in the Parkview, Randbug area. This meant I no longer had LTE internet in my area.

I went to the Cell C store at Sandton City to cancel the contract. I was told I was liable for a +-R1000 cancellation fee. I told the store that since Cell C breached the contract, I am not liable for the cancellation fee.

The store management agreed that Cell C is indeed in breach of contract. And so they logged a case ***.

Approximately R300 was refunded to me. This was not the full cancellation fee! There was a remaining R769.86 that was still due to me but needed to be clawed back from the store. An SFID was required to be supp**** by the store as you can see by looking up the case supp**** above.

The store then supp**** the SFID in a new case number. I do not have that case number where they supp**** the SFID.

And yet again I was still debited the R769.86 which I promptly reversed..

I went back to the store and they logged yet another case, asking them to figure out why I am still being debited this cancellation fee and why I haven't been credited.

This case was ***.

Two weeks have past and nobody has looked at that case.

So I phoned Cell C and the best they can do is log another case: ***.

This has been going on since the first case was logged in May! Three months.

It is absolutely disgusting that Cell C does not have a process in place to deal with issues where they are in breach of contract and refund the customer accordingly. Taking legal action is too expensive, so the customer has to just deal with Cell C's lawlessness.
