Cell C Black ("BLACK") is an entity in South Africa that is affiliated to Cell C, and offers video streaming to their customers, something similar to Showmax. To a Cell C customer, the data is included in the package of choice and is seen as "free". To a non Cell C customer, the data portion is extra. Although their selection of movies, series, etc is NOT great, because one does not pay for the data portion of the video streaming if one is a Cell C customer, value for money is ok. If you are not a Cell C customer, it just does not make economical sense to subscribe to BLACK.
Being a Cell C customer since inception of Cell C (highly recommended), I decided to subscribe to BLACK. I setup a recurring monthly subscription, a subscription in the form of a debit order going through my credit card. In December 2018, the BLACK system, for whatever reason, took 5 x monthly subscriptions off my credit card. It happens.
I sent numerous emails to BLACK (with proof of 5 debit amounts coming off my credit card) requesting my money to be returned back to my credit card. They always reply promptly, informing me that my case is under investigation, and they will revert to me ASAP.
3 Months later, my case is still under investigation, and my money is nowhere to be found. What is there to investigate? Either 5 of my Debit order amounts reached BLACK account, or not. If they did, then refund me. If not, tell me to try my luck elsewhere... but don't insult your customer's intelligence (no matter how stupid they are) and tell them that your case is under investigation and they will revert to you ASAP.
To summarise, in my opinion, BLACK has a very poor and limited selection of movies, and hence does not make economical sense to subscribe, especially if you are not a CellC customer. Huge percentage of Movies are intended for the Indian and Black Cultures. Lastly, one cannot complain about BLACK support, because there is just not any.
