CELL C ASSURED ME THE CONTRACT WAS CANCELLED, BUT THEY **** AGAIN!!!

Good day I emailed cell c in response to ***, a lady contacted me and said that she will go listen to the voice recording as I told her that that when I took the sim card for R99 for 5gigs, the guy told me it was month to month, and I could cancel at any time. I took the sim out on the same day as I took mine out, the number in questioning is *** – R99 for 5 gigs – this was ******, and the lady advised the contract was cancelled as I was **** too over the phone. She assured me the there was no balance outstanding and that the account was closed. she said they listened to the recording when i agreed to take the sim card for R99 and i did infact ask could i cancel at any time, and the gent (sales agent) said YES.

*** is my existing number which I use and pay R99 for 5gigs, I don’t mind. But now when I called in to ask them about my *** number, she tells me the account is in the arrears, how is this even possible when I was told by your head office this account has been cancelled and there is no outstanding arrears on ***.

This all took place in July and August this year of 2022 . *** number was in fact cancelled and I have only 1 existing contract with cell c – *** , I contacted Hello peter, and I contacted the ombudsman as cellc had not got back to me. After three weeks…… I eventually got a call from a lady at cell c.

Go and look at the recordings and all communication sent to my email address – *** regarding the cancellation of ***, I am not going to leave this here, you are negatively affecting my credit score, I will never take another contract with Cell c again, there is always a problem 2 months after I was assured the contract was cancelled, I now get told that I am in arrears for R800 plus on ***, this is absolute nonsense. Please rectify and send me an email so confirm that the *** account has been closed and that I can now use my *** cell number on pay as you go and not contract!

Go and look when the agreement was made for the above numbers and check the date of the telephone call where I was told I can cancel at any time. Listen to the voice recordings and go check the emails sent to me confirming the account is CLOSED!!
