CELL C ARE THEIR OWN WORST ENEMIES AND DOWNFALL ... CUSTOMERS JUST GET CANCELLED!
On 1 May 2021 I phoned Cell C wanting to migrate from contract to pre-paid, with the ultimate aim of porting to Vodacom. Cell C logged my request. After speaking to a friend and hearing some inside info on changes at Cell C, I phoned them back the VERY NEXT DAY to stop the migration to prepaid. I was assured my the call centre agent that he has cancelled my request. I was to stay on contract. He explained that I will get two sms'e, but that I must simply ignore these, as my request to migrate was cancelled. Today, 30 May, a beautiful Sunday morning, I was awakened by a sms from Cell C confirming that I was now on pre-paid! Why have a call centre, why employ staff if they are simply going to mess it up. In my time at Sasol, Teljoy Cellular and Vodacom we didn't have fancy CRM programs. We believed only in one thing. DIRFT. Do It Right First Time. Cell C obviously have done away with the DIRFT concept. They want you to phone in several times, wait online for minutes and then deal with staff who can only see system (how I hate this word!) entries, but cannot listen to the voice recordings. Cell C does not yet employ CTI (Computer Telephone Integration) tegnology as their competitors do ... So, what to do? Having insight into the upcoming changes at Cell C, I do not want to port. I want to have the better packages planned by Cell C. The price is right at Cell C. If only the same app**** to the competencies and service delivery of their staff. Today, all the call centre did was explain that it was all my fault, but could not offer me any sollution. I eventually ended the call, quite abruptly I will add. I do remember receiving a call from Cell C during the month. However, all I heard was music. They now also put you on hold when THEY CALL YOU, as they cannot afford enough staff to wait for you to answer. So, now even on their outgoing calls YOU will AGAIN be put on hold. They assume their time is more valuable than yours. First class service mentality. I did not know all the songs while waiting for them to pick up, so I ended the call. Whether Cell C will ever contact me regarding this, I am not sure. Maybe they can't afford the monthly business subscription with hellopeter.com. But, maybe if they didn't cancel my 5 year old contract, their could have had some income. Let's see what happens next. Maybe they can get their act together before I port to Vodacom, maybe 5 year long customers aren't importany enough ...
