CELL C - ALL ABOUT MONEY AND NOT THE CUSTOMER
I travelled overseas during the month of April and on my return to the country found that I had been charged an amount of R5788.38 for supposed cell phone use with the result that Cell C blocked my sim card. It is important that I add that within a day and a half of my arrival in India, i put a local sim (Vodafone India) into my phone so was rather surprised by this hefty amount! I immediately called CellC and the consultant, Phumzile, advised that I would need to discuss this matter with their accounts department the next day. I requested that accounts call me at 8am on my landline as I would not be in later which they failed to.Be that as it may, when they finally called, my mum provided the consultant with an alternate cellphone number to contact me on but which they again failed to do. I then contacted the callcentre and was assisted by one Mr. Bond. Bond was helpful and advised that he would lodge a query and request call recordings to determine what the issue with the bill was and further that if i was liable to pay, it could be done in 3 equal instalments. Despite having lodged this query though, Cell C still saw it fit to debit my account with this outrageous amount!!!
