Cell C - A Law Unto It's Own...

Cell C is the worst network provider out there - hands down. I've been a loyal Cell C subscriber for YEARS before I switched over to Vodacom due to poor service delivery from Cell C. I kept my Cell C number as a prepaid number, and lo and behold, a few days ago I realized that I wasn't receiving any more phone calls or SMSs to my Cell C number. They deactivated my number without any prior consent or notification whatsoever - just another example of them not giving a toss about their clients - even the ones on a prepaid subscription. I tried calling the call center to have my number reinstated, but both agents I spoke to were as useless as the day is long and kept regurgitating the same information over and over - telling me to visit a Cell C store with my ID and proof of residence to have this resolved. How has this suddenly become my problem?? Due to the fact that I've had this number for so long, it's linked to everything - banking apps, Google accounts, EVERYTHING! And now I can't access any of it because I'm not receiving any SMSs - including OTPs. Cell C is the pits, honestly.
