Cell C - A Customer Service Nightmare and Future University Case study of what not to do.
If I could give them a -10, I would. Probably the worst customer service possible (No wonder they are in financial trouble).
After my Brother was unfortunately ****** and lost his cellphone trying to disconnect the number has been a nightmare. Firstly, my Father attempted to cancel the number as he is the main account holder and we were informed that my brother had to call personally even tough he was in the emergency room at that moment being checked out after the assault with a rock.
The next day my brother phoned Cell C and was told he could not suspend the number and he was told to go into a store with his I'd because he answered ridiculous questions like when was your last recharge incorrectly.
After reading posts on this platform and seeing there were similar cases, I fully expect there to be a generic response. Well I think it is about high time that I abort ship, I will be closing my account with Cell C in the near future and porting my number and I will advise anyone looking to be treated like a valued customer to do the same. Every situation like this is an opportunity to help your customer and make it easier for them, the fact that Cell C does not understand that is exactly why you need to sell out.
Cheers and Kind Regards Another Customer who you will never see again and one who will drag as many potential customers away with him as possible.
