CELL C *****

The most *********** business in South Africa. 24 month Contract ended on 10 Feb 2025. Contacted Cell C on 06 Jan 2025 to cancel the contract and that I won't be renewing it. Was told the last payment will go of end of Feb 2025 for the 24 month period. 30 March another payment went off. I contact Cell C on 1 April, 7 April, 14 April. Two more payments go off my account. No one can help and no one can tell me why I'm still paying. On 31 March I went to my local Cell C store and spent 1.5 hours on the phone in their shop with a consultant in front of me and one on the line. After the 1.5 hours of going back and forth with no answer or solution, I left the store. 2 June 2025 spent 3 hours on the phone with Cell C. Precious at contracts says it's a prepaid problem. Mpho at prepaid says it's a customer care problem. Spimakaeso at customer care says it really is a contract problem. Zando at contracts says it's a customer care problem. Zanele at customer care, who seem to be the only person there with some knowledge of her work, says that she can see that my contract was cancelled and that I'm still paying for it, but she is unable to assist me further. So what the hell now. Send an email to cust care at Cell C.

I wonder if one can lay a case of ***** against Cell C at the police station. They are *****ing my money and I can only image many other people's money who's also having problem wit Cell C.

It's a disgrace that we have to struggle like this in an age of technology and wisdom. This company should be closed.

This is the correct number. Any time between 08:00 and 17:00 on this number is good. I have restarted my phone. It did not ring.
Please advise which number you will be calling from so I can add it to my contact list. I have many blocked numbers due to spam.

Morning Cell C. (Message sent privately to Cell C this morning)
Here is an alternative number if you cannot get hold of me on ***.
This is my housemate’s number, and we are both available today from 08:30 to 17:00 *** Please be sure to call me when you have all the information and have listened to the recordings of all the necessary days, proving that I cancelled my contract. I’m not doing another 3 hour stint being pushed from one person to another without any solution. Thank you and chat later. Irene

Had a call from Cell C this morning. Spoke to Neo who said she will go back to listen to the recordings of the conversation history.
Neo called back at 14:15 saying that my call to them on 6 Jan 2025 was because I did not want to continue with my upgrade. Which is true. During this call OR the call on the 15th of January I clearly stated that I do not want to continue with the contract which ends in Feb 2025 because I do not use the number that came with the new contract as all my business is done on my old telephone which I was in the process of porting. The contract I wanted to cancel was of a number I was giving without realizing it's not for the phone number I've had for the last 20 years, but for this new number. So, I ended up paying for a number I did not use for 24 months. Thus, the reason I don't want to continue with this contract. It would seem the consultant I was speaking to, could not interpret my explanation correctly and understand that I do not want to continue with this number, any contract or anything pertaining to the number as I wasn't using it. What more do you need to end a contract? Where did she interpret that I want to go forward with it on a prepaid or any other kind of paid service? How difficult can this be?

I was told that they will go back to investigate and call me back soonest.

Good Morning Cell C. I am still awaiting feedback. At 15:53 yesterday afternoon I received the following message: "Dear Cell C customer, please receive feedback for case no ***." With nothing attached or any resolution yet.
Cell C, please advise.
