CAN"T GET RID OF CELL C
AGAIN Cell C caught as with the contract renewal. This is now the 4th month we are trying to cancel a contract that expired 5 months again. We phoned numerous times and FINALLY the 3rd of September 2021 we thought that we are done now as we received a sms stating that the contract ended now and the last amount payable was R100 and something. Yesterday my husband phoned them just to double check the amount to pay it. NO!!!!!! the contract did end and our new amount payable is again the installment of R800. We even spoke to so called supervisor that was supposed to phone us back and guess what! NEVER PHONED BACK.
Well as i am scrolling through Hello Peter, I see a lot of people are complaining about the same thing. I am wondering by myself if I must maybe take this to Carte Blanche or the news papers. Yes, I am tired that companies think they get away with this. I WANT THIS SORTED OUT TODAY!
" The automatic-renewal clause within contracts in South Africa is fairly commonplace. This clause is often included in fixed-term contracts and refers to the instant renewal of one's contract upon reaching its expiry date. This will occur unless proper cancellation is effected by the Consumer prior to expiry."
This is a Quote that explain that it is allowed to renew contracts on a monthly basis UNLESS the customer gives a PROPER cancellation. WELL HOW MANY TIMES IS A PROPER CANCELLATION!!! CHECK all the voice recordings.
