cancellations are not too easy

<p>cancelled a line in march 2016. called cancellations dept and was asked to pay in for the device which i did.</p> <p>took it for granted that the line was cancelled. removed sim from device immediately.</p> <p>fast forward to this year, i see the billing starts again.</p> <p> </p> <p>call in again, and i am now told that the payment for the device was allocated to my monthly contract fee as i did not call in again to cancel.</p> <p> </p> <p>errrrrrm. WHY THE HELL did i call in the first time? to get the amount payable to (GET READY FOR IT - SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!) CANCEL THE CONTRACT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!</p> <p> </p> <p>WHICH DUMBO PAYS IN ALMOST A YEARS SUBSCRIPTION IN ADVANCE IF YOU HAVE THE OPTION TO PAY IT OFF MONTHLY!!!!?????</p> <p> </p> <p>if i had used the data (data only contract. was R309 / month. literally a week after i signed up, they offered the identical package for R99!!! That is why i cancelled, paid in the device fee and then signed up a new contract at R99), i wouldn't mind, but as i was under the impression that the contract was cancelled, i removed the sim and used a different one.</p> <p> </p> <p>technology has improved so much these last few years, unfortunately the operators of the technology are not advancing at the same rate.</p> <p> </p> <p>simple to flag the account for cancellation after the call, why must we keep on calling back????????</p> <p> </p> <p>removed all funds from that account for debit order - good luck getting it out</p>
