Cancellation Service - pathetic, non-existant service - Cell C Fibre not recommended

Wish one could give minus stars... We've been struggling to cancel our Cell C Fibre at home since 7 January 2019!

My husband was not able to send through the request himself as he had no connectivity / internet where he was for a long time, so I had to do the cancellation and copied him in, etc. They received the cancellation (Cell C) and it's been a to and fro hassle from them the past month and a half. Then eventually my husband had connectivity and he also contacted them to follow up on OUR cancellation request. First of all a very *********** sales person who sold the package to us, Neville Adams, got his name INCORRECT... and then he advised us, "Your cancellation request should come from the account holder which is you. Your account will be cancelled without a clawback." - this was on 11 February... more than a month after initial cancellation was sent.

How pathetic of this service provider. We will now be taking further action, if another debit order is deducted at the end of February, we have proof to dispute it and proof it was cancelled on 7 January 2019. The fibre was already disconnected at our home on 4 February 2019. So we cannot be billed for the usage when not used and when Cell C was supposed to have cancelled the service by 6 or 7 February 2019. Will be cancelling everything we have with Cell C and definitely not recommend them.

Cell C Fibre does not want to "accept" when a legally married spouse cancels a contract on her husband's behalf when he is UNABLE to do so... and he was copied in as proof of reference, but Cell C has NO PROBLEM in sending a "confidential information" copy of contract to me, his spouse, when I requested it... is that not breach on Cell C's behalf of disclosing personal information without my husband's consent?! How contradictory of Cell C... So Cell C is willing to email a copy of someone's contract possibly to a stranger who requests it... but not furnish a cancelation where the husband was copied in, because this is how they "keep making money" ?! With excuses. Why didn't Cell C then reply to me in JANUARY after I emailed cancellation and copied mu husband in that HE must cancel it? Support never advised us of this, the sales person sent this to us only on 11 February 2019 !!!!

So it's ok for a spouse to request and then be sent a copy of husband's Cell C contract, from Cell C (disclosing ALL his personal details, bank account, ID, etc.) - which is actually ******* of Cell C to send such information to just anyone without the account holder's permission... as I could have posed as his wife and not have been his wife. But it's not ok to cancel a contract on his behalf.
