Cancellation process
I have been with Cell C for a few years now with no issues, but I now need to close 2 of my contracts and no one is eager to assist. Both these contracts expire end October 2022. Went into one of the stores, consultant who was helpful, advised that the settlements on both accounts are over R1000. Okay, then decided that I was going to call customer services and here I was advised the the combined value for the 2 accounts will be R1100 plus. Decided not to cancel as yet as it was a few days away from debit order collecting. 3 days after collection, called cancellation and spoke to Innocebtia, she was helpful to an extent, she gave me a settlement of R1626 and that was just for one account. I had all kinds of questions, firstly, my balance on my device for that one contract was just over R300, from what I understand that I would settle device amount, the benefits of the month of August and then also cancellation fee. When I asked Innocentia for a breakdown of the settlement I was advised that she cannot provide exact amounts and explained how the amount was calculated and her version was that I would settle device, the next 3 months of benefits and the cancellation fee, my question is why do I have to pay 3 months worth of benefits if the contract is be settled and I don't get to benefits of the 3 months, she couldn't explain and advised that I EMAIL customer service. I have sent an email and was advised that the query will be sent to the relevant department and its now been a week and nothing. All I want is an explanation and breakdown of how the R1626 was calculated.
