Cancellation of Cell C contracts

I have received sporadic offers of services via random marketing drives from Cell C as a company. To admit up front, my own ignorance and negligence in making decisions about taking up contracts with the company for additional data, etc. has led to me now sitting with 5 different contracts.

I went to complain and ascertain facts at the Cell C shop in the Bayside Mall in Table View, Cape Town, about the various contracts I have. I wanted to cancel all contracts and be allowed to reassess my whole phone and data requirements. I was told that this would not be possible. The assistant in the shop expressed frustration at the way in which many customers come to them with similar problems, having agreed to telephonic offers. These marketing ploys take advantage of the customer's vulnerability to being caught at unexpected times and p**** with various supposedly enticing options. This never occurs with any reference to what contracts you already have with Cell C.

When I have attempted to get feedback, via phone, on possible solutions to my problem, I have been given answers by various individuals that often contradict one another. This makes it almost impossible to get a straight answer on what options are available to you.

In closing then....is it possible to cancel a contract with Cell C or any other supplier if it no longer meets your needs and how do you get accurate feedback on your option? From my personal experience, communication by phone is not an option. It merely confuses and further complicates my situation.
