Cancellation: Mission Impossible

This morning I called Cell C to cancel a contract that ended a year ago. I called twice and twice I went through numerous time wasting security checks after each of the calls the consultant said they would put me through to the Cancellations Department and on each occasion the a recording told be me that the number I had called was invalid! How crazy is that!

It appears that a cancellation is made as difficult as possible in the hope that I will give up.

Also I was told that cancellations take 30 days to implement and the reason for this is because of "processes"! If new contract take 30 days Cell C would be out of business and so why should cancellations take 30 days!
