cancelation

I am trying to cancel my month to month contract - effective immediately. I did the cancelation and then was told it is too late to pay the upfront cancelation fee. I was instructed to reverse the cancelation, which I did. Today I called and was told I can not pay the penalty fee for immediate cancelation and I need to wait the 30days I did not agree to a month to month contract where my number would not be released when I wanted it too.

I need my phone number released ASAP, and am willing to pay the fee that comes with it! I would like if I could get some assistance with this
