Cancel cell c contract impossible task

I have been trying to cancel my cell c account but with no luck I have sent a few emails.no response. Today I called the customer service Centre where I was told that no cancelations are done in Sunday and I should call back tmrw.. Meanwhile my contract has ended and cell c continues to help themselves to my monthly payment. Why do you make it impossible to cancel my contract???
