Can we talk about whether or not you're asking us to break the law?

Oh dear... Always a tragedy when you have to move heaven and earth just to try to give money to a business. But Cell C's incompetence shines brightly every step of the way, from staff not knowing the products, to the registration process. And as near as we can tell, they ask you to break the Protection of Personal Information Act, because they will not accept bank statements redacted... That personal information belongs to third parties, not to you or me! Not even a stamped bank letter suffices :( Of course, with these large, faceless entities, you can never find anyone to talk to, just wildly inconsistent views of what "THE RULES" are.
