C SURANCE - NON PAYMENT OF CLAIM

My 12 year old son unintentionally allowed a stranger into the house on 28 December under the guise of him wanting a glass of water. The ***** then ran riot in the house and stole, amongst other things, my older sons almost brand new contract phone that was in his cupboard. As he works repairing ships, he was leaving the new phone at home and taking the old phone to work so that the new phone wouldnt fall out of his overalls and get damaged. All the correct procedures were followed and the sim card was stopped. The SAP contacted, we even have video footage on our cctv camera of the guy entering and leaving the premises but still c surance dont seem to want to pay and I cant get hold of them on the phone as the are \ experiencing large call volumes\" When I do get through I get told that the matter is being dealt with. I have now emailed Cell C and told them to cancel my insurance. At +/- R350 per month for insurance on 2 contract cell phones that c surance dont want to pay out, I am just wasting money. I have been with cell c for years and have never had a problem with them. I really think they need to change their insurance under writter - Hollard.

Bronwyn De Vries
"
