C surance

Nearly 2 years ago my daughter took out 2 contracts for her and myself with C surance insurance. About 1 month ago, I was ****** at gunpoint and my phone with sim card was ******. We took all the relevant documents to Cell C to claim from C surance. Now they say that the claim has been rejected due to the phone and sim last being used in May. I used the phone and sim everyday and received a bill every month for data purchased on the contract and payments was made accordingly. How can they now say that the phone was last used in May if I have proof of usage.?? Can someone please clarify this.....I cannot afford to buy a new phone when still paying an existing contract and getting no benefit thereof. This is ridicules!!!! Is it perhaps that the contract is to expire in about one month's time and we do not want a new contract???
