Buyout Fail

Last year Terence at Cell C offered me a r25k cell c buyout from vodacom.

He expressly told me that I must not pay my vodacom debit orders because the buyout would cover it.

The advantage of the buyout would be to reduce he existing premium.

I sent him all FICA and the exit quote and never received a reply until he claimed Vodacom weren't releasing the number due to ***** on my account.

From here I was caught between both companies blaming the other for the mistake.

Now I have to deal with lawyers demanding the R35k amount without any knowledge or interest in the massive back story of how this happened.

I have sat at both Vodacom and Cell C and neither has an explanation. In fact at Cell C they sent me to th building where Terence sits and nobody could help me except his colleague who tried to fix the problem and then said the offer has since expired.

Am I supposed to pay money owed to Vodacom because Cell C failed to pay them?

Please note I cannot receive calls, only emails.
