Bunch of *******
I moved over to Cell C for my fibre needs as they promised the same service my previous provider offered at a lower cost. Who wouldn't move to them with a promise like that? I wish now that I had done some homework before moving over. It took them 12 days to actually get the service up and running. For 13 days I was without internet, yet I had to pay upfront when I app**** for the service. The day the service was finally up and running, I did some tests to ensure everything is working the way it should. Unfortunately this was not the case, the speeds were not what I was paying for and the line was highly unstable. I reported this immediately and they dispatched an engineer to investigate. When the engineer arrived, the line was doing what it is supposed to do. We agreed that I would keep an eye on it over the coming weekend. This was 3 days after the activation. That weekend I experienced the same terrible speeds and instability. The connection even dropped twice, for no apparent reason at all. I mailed them and said that they should rather cancel the service, as I will be going back to my previous provider. This too was such a lengthy process, as every time I phoned them, they had no record of me cancelling. After numerous calls, they finally cancelled the service and I moved back to my previous provider.
Now I am battling to get my refund back from them. They are supposed to provide me with a refund as agreed with one of the managers. I received an email requesting me to send them my proof of payment. I sent the proof of payment, yet I did not receive a response, I have been trying to follow up this past month, yet no one is getting back to me. My emails gets ignored. I am on the verge of getting legal advice and possibly taking legal action against them for theft.
They were quick to ask me for payment, yet when they need to pay me, they do not understand what I am saying.
Apologies for the frustrations you have experienced.
We have escalated this to management for the Fibre Department. Do expect communication soon.
