Bridge of ICASA ruling on out of bundle charges

I am not happy and extremely dissapointed to how Cell C is conducting its business, this is equal to violation of the ruling by ICASA on out of bundle charges.

ICASA ruled as follows: The new rules include that a cellphone provider can't just automatically switch you over to out-of-bundle use - you have to agree to it first. This is to avoid a shock in your bill at the end of the month.

Cellphone providers also have to allow you to roll over unused data before the expiry date and allow you to transfer data to other clients who use the same provider.

This means that network providers cannot automatically charge out of bundle, they need to asked consumers, but cell c is not doing this, you have set your default to charge out of bundle and want it to be the consumers responsibility to opt out. This is not what the ruling says, the network provider has a responsibility to ask and not just proceed charging. This rule was effective from the 01st of March and cell c has been charging me for out of bundle and i was not aware, i just saw my airtime vanishing and I was shocked to get the news today when my wife called the call centre and was told she needs to opt out. I need this to be investigated and all my out of bundle airtime that was charged from the 01st of March to be refunded to my number.
