BLACKDATA: 2 months and Cell C hasnt called me back once after 6 individual complaints about the same thing. Also conveniently losing my ref no. after each call forcing me to run around in circles and never being able to resolve my situation.

I needed to buy data and popped onto the cell c site and clicked data. I wanted 100GB and saw that it only went up to 30GB so instantly clicked on the tab called blackdata and seeing the 100GB & 200GB options im used to buying I realised they must've made a new tab for heavy consumers like myself. I read the page up and down and it doesnt state anywhere that blackdata is any different to regular data so it must be one and the same.

I purchase the 100Gb of data and try using my mifi device but it doesnt work and I reset it and try a hundred different things but it still cant get me online. So I go back to the blackdata page and read through the full page again and it doesnt tell me what blackdata is so again I think it must be normal data. I then read through full terms and conditions and it doesnt say anything about blackdata and actually refers to the data as just data. Therefore this is 100% normal data as stated by the T's & C's but still my data isnt working.

I then go onto the Cell C website to try find out more about blackdata and although it says it can be used for entertainment it doesnt say that it cant be used for anything else.

Then when I cant find any answers on the site I google black data and have to read a blog where someone says you can only use black data solely for that entertainment purpose.

This is when I became furious because it does not state on the blackdata recharge page that blackdata can only be used for this entertainment thing and can be used as normal data.

This has to be stated on the page where you are selling the product otherwise how does someone know that they are buying data that they cant use anywhere else.

This is false advertising and needs to clearly state on that page what blackdata is and it doesnt.

I have since spoken to 6 consultants all who told me someone would call me back within 24-48 hours and no one ever called me back since December last year. I have since spent over 2 hours chatting to different consultants because every time my reference no. for the call is not on their system. Cell C clearly does not want to rectify this situation.

They have all told me that I purchased the data myself and not through a consultant so its my problem and I cant get refunded.

But I called the following day after buying the data to resolve this and under the consumer protection act I have 7 days for a refund no matter what the purchase. I didnt use the data and it is still 100% all there.

I also know that false advertising is a major deal because I work at an agency in advertising and your page that sells blackdata doesnt say what blackdata is nor does it say what it can and cant be used for therefore I was sold a product calling itself data but was not data I could use. And under the T's & C's it calls it data not blackdata.

Therefore I am eligible for a full refund of R999 so let me know where I can send my bank details to get this refund?
