Black listing

Good evening

Please assist with feedback,

I reported my phone lost on the 1st of August 2022 - My case is still not resolved. I have taken time from work to try to resolve this issue and have provided all that was required from my end.

The short of it - (the documents were uploded)

The initial phone's IEMI number - *** - has not been overridden with my most recent replacement phone with : IEMI number - ***

Due to this, the store was unable to assist with blacklisting the phone and I am unable to get an ITC number.

I have made multiple follow ups and have different cases as references, but still receiving very poor service in resolving this issue.

Below is the list of cases that have been opened with regards to the unresolved issue. *** *** *** *** *** ***

I am currently searching/applying for opportunities and could stand a chance of missing calls that could connect me to them.

Please assist urgently as my case has been with the back office for a long time and the feedback has just been unsatisfactory and shows lack of customer care which is not good business practice.

Awaiting your response

Please contact me on this number : ***

The IMEI number was not updated. The new IMEI number is for the replacement phone. Your system shows the one for the phone I claimed for(A72), the S20FE IMEI number was delivered at my work place, i didnt receive it in store, i assusme that is why it was not upated.

I have submitted the documents for both phone(2x boxes for the A72 and the S20FE). if you contact insurance they are confirming the IMEI number that Cell c has to overide

Please advice,I was told in store, I can only open a case/report with SAPS once I have received the itc reference? And that can only happen once the phone is blacklisted.

Yes, that is indeed the case. You will need the ITC reference number of the blacklisted device.

Good day, I have confirmed before that I had the sim card in the device, I need the blacklisting to be done on, in the sim 1 slot. Call center has confirmed that the last usage(call/data) on that sim card was on the 31/07/2022(same day the phone was lost). Based on the below “Please also note that the system will identify the handset where the SIM card was used not based on which IMEI is updated” the system should ID from which device usage came from. Please provide the details where the usage came from as the system should be able to ID the device. Please also note this was a dual sim phone, but the package only had 1 IMIE number. Subject: RE: Blacklisting Form - ***(CELL NUMBER) | | CAUTION: This email originates from outside of the organisation. Do not click on links or open attachments unless you recognise the sender and know that the content is safe.Dear Antony, Thank you for your email. Kindly be advised that our Blacklisting Department was unbale to assist with Blacklisting due to the following reason: • The combination of the IMEI and Cell phone Number were not used together, therefore blacklisting cannot be processed.. Please also note that the system will identify the handset where the SIM card was used not based on which IMEI is updated, therefore if the SIM card was in a particular device we will require that devices IMEI to be able to Blacklist successfully. Should you have any further enquiries, please do not hesitate to contact us on ***. Regards ^PM
