BLACK CUSTOMER LOCKED OUTSIDE THE STORE

I was at Cell C in Eastgate on the 31st March at 9H05 and had the most terrible experience thanks to Andriana...

I arrived at the shop just before they opened and waited outside with a white lady who was a customer. Another white lady ( whom I was later told that her name is Andriana, the store owner) arrived with keys in her hand... she opened the store and went inside with the white lady I was waiting with and locked me outside.
I waited outside until about 3 minutes later when she opened the store. At this time she had already started assisting the white lady she had let in.
I still do not understand why she would only let the one customer in and lock another outside. I have specified people's races on my email simply to put a point across... which is that I was locked out because I am black and the lady was let in because she is white.
I had no idea that this type of prejudice still exists in this country... I am shocked and very disappointed at this.

I then send an email to the store owner and the Cell C head office regarding my experience but have had not response. Clearly this type of thing happens a lot hence they do not even see a need to apologies or explain themselves.

Hello sechabapor,

Thank you for notifying us of the above.

We want all our customers to be given proper service and be treated with the respect they deserve. We strive to keep our customers happy and satisfied. This is not the norm or standard service we want for our customers.

This will be addressed with the store manager and the action to have this kind of behavior rectified will be taken. Sincere apologies for the unsatisfactory service and inconvenience caused.

Regards
