BILLED R35 000 FOR USING FREE WIFI
Cell C has billed me R35 000 for using free Hotel and Airport WiFi, while in Europe. They claim I reached my R20 000 limit, but my bill is R35 000. This is definitely going to be a law suite, I will not waste my time with their *********** staff who cannot calculate that if you locked me at R20 000 I can't reach R35 000. Let alone not even providing me with a service to reach R20 000. It literally shows that I was on the Hotel and airports WiFi and they choose to ignore.
So sick of useless agents and consultants.

08 Aug 2022, 13:06 I travelled to Europe between the 01 – 12 June 2022 – International Roaming was activated the day before. On my second day of being in Paris, Cell C claimed I had used up my R20 000 limit and I was cut of all services. Definitely didn't use up this amount - was too busy site seeing - all other usage was from my Hotel Room. 4th of June – I made a call to ask how is this possible, I am only roaming for a day and sent only WhatsApp and made 1 call – Definitely cannot total R20 000. Was told bill is not R19 000 its R1900. And I was told my access will be sorted and I will have roaming activated again. listen to all the calls!! This never happened!!!!
Throughout my holiday, I was left by Cell C without any service – using ONLY all the free Hotel, Airport and restaurant’s free WiFi. Even when we desperately needed a taxi, we had to get into restaurant and use their WiFi. Came back to SA – was cut off because you say I reached R20 000 – then suddenly you bill me for R35 000 (Red flag, how did I pass R20 000 – I was cut off all services on the 2nd of June for reaching R20 000). Then, when I was contacted by your consultant, and he called out all the dates, you are billing me for – I realised that you have billed me for every bit of data I used from the free WiFi’s that I had been using and relying on to keep in contact with my family, because you left me stranded with no service, because you charged me for my hotel’s free Wifi usage and reached my R20 000 limit. You billed me for using the hotel in Paris, Prague and Italy – during which time, I had NO CELL C ROAMING SERVICE!!!!. YOU ARE CLAIMING R35 000 FOR WiFi services that is not even yours. Please investigate and sort this matter out, before we ensue in a legal battle, because I have sufficient evidence.
