Beware of the Retention Deparment

My previous posts already expressed my disappointment with the way Cell C conducts its business, so I'm not going into those details again.

This post is a Warning to all that are approached by Cell C's Retention Department, especially one Banele. It seems to me that the department's strategy is to make an attractive retention offer, then reneg on it a day or two later. The next step is to make a new offer that is significantly worse in the hope that you will settle for that. If it doesn't work, then a stalling tactic is employed (I will speak to my supervisor and get back to you) with the intent to be able to give you a "temporary contract just so you are still connected". The callback of course never comes, and you're stuck with a new contract. Since Tuesday I have been telling them that I am not accepting that new contract and want it cancelled immediately. Since Tuesday they have promised to do that, but I'm still in the contract. They promised me to cancel it again with immediate effect just now, well let's see.

If anybody from Cell C should happen to read this: It says that the calls are recorded, so go and check and tell me if I said something that is not true.

Your team member did contact me, but had no clue regarding what I was complaining about. I told him to listen to the recordings to hear what I was promised both in terms of a replacement contract, and call backs and cancellations. So that means more "inconvenience" for me.
All I am asking is that the contract I never agreed to but which was pushed onto my cellphone number is immediately cancelled.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
