****** because of Cell C incompetence.

I am having a horrific experience. I was in the last month of my contract when I app**** to be put on prepaid as per company policy. As normal, a debit order was put in place on 1st of every month. However when being debited for the last month of the contract, (which) is the last payment due to them, I was sent a notification from cell c telling me that the debit order did not go through and I would have to pay a penalty fee due to lack of funds in the bank. I thereafter did a separate payment inclusive of the penalty fee thinking that it was my fault. After contacting the bank and investigating, i found that the debit had indeed gone through on the 1st and I made an extra payment. I immediately called cell c and spoke to someone and he verified this information. He said someone will be in contact with me soon regarding this matter.

I then received an email saying that they had tried to contact me, however the number that they tried to contact me on was not my primary contact number given to them.

I followed up by calling the contact number left in the email, only to find its a general contact number. I was After being put through to the accounts department and explaning my situation, I was told, this number is now on a prepaid number and they can't do anything because it's not department. They transfered me to the prepaid department and they said it's a contract issue and they can't do anything. I have given them the reference number and was horified with the response, they said that the case is closed. I have spoken to the supervisor of the prepaid department said the is nothing she can do. I called the contract department again and asked to speak to the supervisor. Btw, I'm still waiting for the call.

How am can that close a case unsolved without paying back money that doesn't belong to them.

Beware, there are ******* working there. Because if you don't follow up, you won't get your money. And it will be marked as case closed or complete. I can't wait to speak to a senior, who actually can solve problems instead of passing on the buck.

Most irritated customer
