Bait Marketing

I bought an amount of airtime this week and was given bonus airtime which specifically states that it's "Bonus for calls, data and SMS." This statement is completely false, because after browsing and calling I realized that I still had the full amount of bonus airtime. A consultant confirmed that it is erroneous and that it will be escalated as bonus airtime is used before one's own. I called in again a day later, but only to be told that the bonus airtime can only be used once my own airtime is depleted, a complete different story as the first consultant. After 24 hours, CellC took back their full R500 bonus airtime despite my every effort to use it. I have posed this question on social media platforms and noticed that Cell C has has caught many unsuspecting viewers with this type of bait marketing.

Please note that its been almost week and I have received absolute no feedback from your escalation team, therefore this matter may be referred to the CPA ombudsman for the consideration of bait marketing in terms of the CPA act, section 30. Looking forward to your excuse this time.
