Bad Service from the emergency Unit

On Saturday 04/07/2015 between 05.20am and 05.45am I contacted Cell C's emergency unit on 112 requesting services of an ambulance.

On the first attempt I got through to a colored lady who took my contact numbers and location and just transferred me to a line that just rang with no response.

I then dropped the line and attempted a second call, and this time spoke a black lady. I asked the lady for her name and she responded by asking who I wanted to speak to. I then insisted that she provide me with her name and at that she just dropped the line on me.

Only on my third attempt to this 112 Emergency line did I eventually get through to a gentleman who explained that he needed to put me through to Ekhurhuleni emergency services and also that I may have to hold a while.

The behavior of the first 2 ladies was totally unacceptable more so as this is an emergency line that needs to be treated with the utmost urgency. It is utterly disgusting that people working in an Emergency unit would treat real life emergencies in such a casual and uncaring manner.

Does it really have to take 3 phone calls before one gets assistance. This is people's lives that are being played around with.
