Bad service and contact agent at Cell C

My Cell C contract expired in Sep 2022 & i didn't upgrade so automatically it goes to month to month. I called Cell C today 01 Oct 2022 requesting them to downgrade my package only, i told her I'm not ready to upgrade I'm still deciding on which phone I'm gonna take, the lady who assisted me she told me that my request it's done then i accepted the T&C after ending my call i receive an sms and email saying that "Thank you for renewing your contract . We appreciate your continued support" I'm so angry because i did not request this can somebody fix my account please.

I've been with Cell C for more than 12 years I'm thinking of moving to other service providers.
