bad credit record because of this
I app**** for a cell phone contract and cell c declined it stating that i have no credit reference.Them declining my application will further reflect badly on my credit score and how will i build a credit score or record if not given a chance or opportunity to do so

Thank you for posting to us.
A credit reference is very important when applying for a contract or credit.
In this case your credit score can only reflect badly if you have been applying for more than one type of credit within a short period of time but if you have been applying for one type of credit, it will count as one inquiry on your credit score.
