BAD BAD Service Cell C

I requested a cancellation of a contract as it was due for renewal and I did not need the number. A payment was made in full and final settlement of the outstanding amount. Proof of payment with the correct reference number (the cellphone number) was sent to Cell C ustomer Service on the 3rd of March 2017. There after I called Cell C and requested a cancellation of the number and not a transfer of the number to a prepaid number. I confirmed again that the account was paid in full and cancelled.

On the 15th of April, I was surprised by a debit order for the amount already paid. I have never authorised a debit order instruction to Cell C and certianly not on the 15th of the month?

Now I am phoning call centres again, mailing confirmation of payment again with the hope that someone might do their job for which they are being paid.

Be advise is DO NOT give your banking details to Cellphone companies. DO NOT try to pay any amount to the service provider as a FULL AND FINAL SETTLEMENT amount.
