Avoid this Fibre ISP

I received a statement - after many months of not receiving one and trying to explain this to various consultants and in emails - stating that my account ballance was -R1050 which I interpret as being paid in advance (a negative number).

This was followed by a call a few days later that my account was seriogsly in arrears and that the last payment received was in July.

I requested POPs from my bank and sent them through.

I then received a call saying that I have used an incorrec reference number and that the information would be sent through to the payments department and they will update the payments and rectify my credit record.

The next email I received was that I did not pay the money into Cell Cs bank account. I was instructed to follow up with my bank as they do not have the correct banking details loaded on their app.

I phoned my bank. They were astounded as the details loaded are as provided by Cell C.

I subsequently realised that all my previous payments received by Cell C were done using the same payment channel through my bank.

I still have no clue what payments have been received and how much I actually owe.

I have asked on numerous occasions for a debit order to be instated. It has not been done.

My understanding is that I am on a month-to-month package (it states this in the footer of the invoices I have received).

This implies that I pay upfront for a service. If I don't pay, I don't have service. This also means that I have no obligation to C Fibre.

Why - if I then do not pay - is my credit record effected?

Why is the service not cut off if I do not pay?

Why is it so difficult to get a reconsiliated statement?

Why is Cell C ' especially the C-Fibre department so ***********?

I'm not sure that after rectifying this situation, I want to be associated with Cell C.

I'm not holding my breath.
