Avoid Cell C at all costs!
I am just another one of Cell C's victims when it comes to cancelling your contract. I waited for 30 minutes on hold on 11 January to cancel my contract, and finally had someone answer the phone and confirm that my contract was cancelled and that January would be my last debit order. Come end February? Another debit. So I reverse the debit order and complained on Twitter this time. I get told that this time it's cancelled and that February will be my last debit order. They then disputed my reversed debit order, so I got charged for February and a penalty from my bank.
Just leaving this public post here as a record for when another debit order invitably goes off in March again.
Stay away from Cell C!

You phoned us on the 11th of Janaury to place a 30 days cancellation notice. Your contract was subsequently cancelled on 10 February 2021. Kindly note that you are liable for the February invoice as our billing system runs in arrears and not in advance.
