At my wits end with Cell C

Since December 2020, I have been experiencing connectivity issues with my Cell C contract number. I am unable to make calls, send or receive Whatsapp messages, check my e-mails, or hear people when they are calling me unless I am on a Wifi network. I have repeatedly called Cell C and been into their shops for assistance to no avail.(exposing myself the the dreaded Covid, thanks for that....) I have reset my networks, I have enabled roaming, I have restarted my phone, so many times, I have lost count. Every call is "escalated", every visit to a store has yielded the same result.... NO RESULT OR SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM.... AT ALL! I am paying R639 a month for a service I am unable to utilize. I rely on my phone for work.... Should I not be able to use my phone or the services I'm paying for, I will more than likely lose my job. Will Cell C either fix the problem or pay my salary until I can find a new job??? Perhaps I should start billing them for loss of income due to their lack of service? Surely there is something in the CPA to cover me for this, will be investigating how the CPA can help me with this situation and take it further. When I ask for Cell C to cancel the contract with immediate effect, they refuse and insist I must pay the balance of the contract. WHAT FOR????? For a service I cannot use? The concept is the same as going to the shop, paying for the month's groceries and walking out, trolley empty, with a smile on my face..... Crazy... right? And then doing it repeatedly..... And expecting a different result.... I am frustrated beyond belief. Can Cell C pull their heads out of the sand and resolve my issue once and for all? Or do I stop paying and fight this legally?

The ball is in your court, Cell C... Let's see how you handle this. (or if you even bother to try)

Apologies, I am paying R443.39 for this line. Irrespective, I'm still paying for something I'm unable to use....

So..... Here we are.... almost 48 hours later and still no call or resolution to the problem.
All I got was the generic response... AS EXPECTED!
(Does anyone from Cell C actually even take the time to read these or do they just "copy, paste" a response so we will shut up and feel like they are attempting to resolve the issues?)

Surely, if a consumer is paying for a product or service, the expectation is to ACTUALLY receive said product or service???

Much to my dismay, this is not the case, I should clearly just keep paying R443.39 for the next six months until my contract is due to expire. All the while with no working cell phone. Feels like my only option is to ask someone to "please pass the pot of Vaseline..."

The biggest issue is that we as consumers have become complacent, just rolling over and accepting this type of behavior from service providers.
It is time to stand up for our rights!
It's time for service providers to put their "big girl panties on" and take responsibility!

I have given Cell C ample time to help me (2 months seems reasonable, no?), so....

My next step is the CPA.
I'm even considering posting my displeasure on every social media platform I have an account with: Facebook; Instagram; Twitter; Snap Chat; hell, I'll even make my very first TikTok video. Thereby ensuring everyone knows just how little Cell C cares about their customers. (not that they don't already know)
Clearly, being a loyal Cell C customer since 2005 doesn't mean didley squat in the grand scheme of things.

Maybe if I make enough waves, stand up for myself and make myself heard...
Maybe, just maybe, something will be done.
Perhaps my ranting and raving will finally make a difference and it won't feel like I am permanently ****ing against the wind.

I wait with bated breath.... Hopefully I don't pass out from the lack of oxygen...

Not that any of this will make any difference, considering Cell C is already going out of business.
Based on my latest experiences, is it any wonder why???

Perhaps if you tried calling again???

This is the problem, the team "tried calling" but clearly couldn't get through because the phone is a useless brick due to the fact that I have NO connectivity.

This is beyond ridiculous.
