An utter disappointment from Cell C

On the 6 of January 2016, my father upgraded my cell phone contract from a Galaxy Note 3 to an iPhone 6s at cell c in Gateway where they did they first sim swap. Shortly afterwards when I returned to Cape Town my phone started to say "No Service" on my phone. The nearest cell c branch to the one where I reside is at Cavendish Square and they are did my sim swap twice in store as they acknowledged that the problem is with cell c and not with me. The third time my sim failed I went to istore and they told that my phone functions very well and that nothing is wrong with it. The consultants at cell c at cavendish square also verified this and did a sim swap yet again. The fourth time my sim failed I was back in Durban and I went to the cell c in gateway and since my father didn't have his ID book and so we did the sim swap over the phone. The in store consultant assisted us and said that a case would be opened investigating the issue behind the multiple reasons for the sim swap. The problem begins with the consultant at the call centre. I kindly explain to her the situation and that previously that I haven't been charged for the swap the previous time as the fault is with cell c and not me. She was so rude and just said I must pay. She even made false claims that I had used the SIM card in multiple devices when this information is false abs told the consultant who told me. Eventually the consultant suggested payment for the sim swap and I agreed despite my unease with the decision . We did the swim swap and left the store after speaking to a second consultant. I am so disappointed and frustrated by this service provider when they have been so good to my family and I in the past. At this stage I'm willing to get my phone inspected because I'm so tired running up and down trying to solve something that isn't my fault. I'm very disappointed in cell c.

We apologise for the manner in which this matter was handled and for the inconvenience caused. This is not the norm or the standard of service we want for our customers.

This matter will be addressed with the store manager to have this kind of behaviour rectified.

Yesterday on the 28th of June at the Gateway branch they did the sim swap and my SIM card still doesn't function on my phone. Therefore my cell phone number doesn't work. Please contact me on either of these numbers *** or +27 (76) ***

After the incident occurred at the store yesterday. I waited for the 2-4 hours notification to appear on my father's phone regarding the sim swap working and yet again the new SIM card on my phone says "No Service" yet again. This is painfully frustrating.

Thank you Cell C for finally resolving my problem. It is unfortunate that it had to take so long to fix this issue but I am grateful for the assistance offered by Maropeng. He deserves five stars for his service.
