Agents failed to disclose correct spec of the device
I received a call from a sales agent at Cell C, accompanied by her team leader, on October 31, 2025, in the late afternoon. They presented an upgrade offer as my existing contract is nearing its expiration date. I inquired about laptop availability and was fortunate to qualify for a cellphone, specifically an Apple iPhone 11, and an HP Ryzen 3DYT laptop on Elevate One. The deal was finalized on November 3, 2025, with some adjustments required for the laptop, which was not an issue. I explicitly asked if the phone was brand new, as I did not want a refurbished device. I was assured it was new, and I selected a grey color. On November 4, 2025, I received another call to accept the Debi-check mandate, which I accepted. However, to my surprise, the email acknowledgement or invoice described the device as refurbished and white, contrary to my request. I feel that the agent rushed to finalize the deal with false information. Can someone please take accountability for this? Yours in disappointment 🤔
