After 5 weeks, I am still waiting for my phone to be fixed

On Wed 2nd November my LG G4 stopped functioning (unable to switch on or charge) so I took it to the Cell C store in Hout Bay. They said it was stuck in a loop and was booked in for repair. On Tues 21st November I followed up with Cell C and they at first could not locate the repair, and then told me that someone had actually cancelled the repair. So they followed up again and I recieved a sms the same day to say it had been recievied. Then on Thurs 24th November I received another sms saying it was at the ARC in the queue for assessment.

I went back to Cell C on Monday 5th December and they agent said they would follow up with the repair centre the next day and that I would receive an sms to confirm communication. I am still waiting to hear.

Why is my phone taking 5 weeks to repair? What is taking so long? How much longer will it take? I work remotely so being without a smartphone is causing a huge inconvenience in my life because I have had to spend over R700 buying a cheap entry level phone to do basic functions.

Reviewer Update

Another 4 weeks have gone by and I still have not recieved my phone or a replacement! This is now 2 months I have been waiting.

I have been to the store for the 5th time today since the 8th December when I last spoke to Skhumbuzo from Cell-C customer service. The Repair Centre is completely inefficient and unhelpful with rectifying this matter. The branch has called them numerous time, and after saying they were not able to fix my phone, I am still waiting for the SD to actually be approved so that the adequate credit can be loaded onto my account so I can finally get myself a decent smartphone.

How much longer must I wait for someone to click a button and approve the SD??

In addition to this Cell C has been charging me over R500 a month for the last 2 months whilst I have been without a phone as part of my contractual agreement - how can Cell C keep charging me to pay off a phone that they have had for over 2 months?!
