Accounts handed over MBD

I called cell c today just before 12 noon to make an application for a contract for a router. The consultant I spoke to Refilwe took my ID number & did a credit check. Then she told me I dont qualify because of MBD meaning I might be owing one of my accounts. I called cell c again now at 1pm & spoke to another consultant who told me that I had a cell c account which was handed over to MBD for collection. I have a credit report from experian and the account in question was paid up in 2014. And I never received a call from MBD or from cell c regarding this account. Now I cant apply for the contract because of that.
