Account in Arrears and Credit at the same time?
For the following two months (May & June) I have received SMS's from Cell C stating that my Account is in arrears and should be paid to avoid suspension of service. These SMS's were received on 5 May, 4 & 9 June. When I phone Cell C Customer Services (7 calls), its made clear that according to their records, my account is in Credit. It was made clear to me that I do not have to worry about the SMS's I received.
This is followed, two days later, with my service being suspended. After, once again, phoning Customer Services, the line is opened.
After speaking to the Customer Services manager this morning, it was explained to me that a person must have misread the fact that my account is in Credit for it being it in Arrears. Therefore they must have disconnected my account by mistake due to misreading the account statement.
Is this really a statement on how poor Cell C's billing systems are? Every time my account is disconnected, this will reflect in my history and therefore my credit score. Cell C, through poor attempts at accounting and misreading statements, are negatively affecting my credit score, therefore my interest rates and future financial welfare.
