Access to personal information

Some weeks back I upgraded a CellC contract of mine.<br> I was shocked by one of their security questions. They wanted to know what my registered bond amount for my property was (they needed to compare it with their information). Where on earth are they getting this information, is it not suppose to be personal? This absolutely has nothing to do with them. The answer I got from the CellC representative is that these questions comes from their IT department. Seems that their IT dept has access to your personal banking details. Was extremely upset and will take this up with FNB bank as well.

Hello PBL,

The information used for security questions is based on the XDS system which comes directly from the credit bureaus and not from our IT department.
