A Nightmare dealing with Cell C

I did an upgrade when i got the phone trying to do a sim swap I was told that the sim card i am trying to register has already been used. The sim card came with the new phone, but already used. I bought a new sim card and app**** fro a sim swap at 9am and I was told it will take 3-4 hours. & hours later no one has contacted me. I followed up now i got told that it can take up to 48 hours. Who can stay that long without a phone. I am now unreachable and i have kids. I told them i do not have an alternative number to get an sms for a self service pin. Now this is really ridiculous!
