48 hours is 72 or more

My phone was ****** on 25/01/15 and I contacted cell c to block my simcard and blacklist the phone. Which did not happen because the system did not allow the consultant to do it, but no one bothered doing it afterwards. I called again on monday just to check progress and was told to wait for 48 hrs before I could get and ITC number. Today 28/01/15 I call cell c again because I still have not received anything from them, and I am told that I have to wait 24 more hrs because my handset is still not blacklisted and I am yet to receive the ITC number. This is a great inconvenience and the process seems to be prolonged on a daily basis.
