3rd Party Deliveries

Over a month ago I had app**** for a new contract as a gift for my dad. I was promised that he would receive this by his birthday which was on the 12th September. I had stated to the agent that I am based in JHB and the device needs to be delivered to an address in Durban and I was assured that it wont be a problem, as long as the 3rd party has a copy of my ID! The courier refused to deliver the device to my dad as they say the are not allowed to hand over to a 3rd party!!! I messaged Cell C numerous times via social media requesting they look into this and the only response I received was that that's their policy, surely their agents should be aware of this policy as well? I had asked for someone to call me over 3 weeks ago. I received a 3 second missed call from Cell C and that was it! I had called in again today to check on the status of the delivery only to be told that the device has been handed back to Cell C and I would need to re apply for a new contract ( I didn't even receive communication about this)Over a month and I'm yet to receive feedback from Cell C. I have been a customer for over 15 years and always recommend Cell C to friends and family, however this experience has left a very bitter taste in my mouth.
